No Removal of Fliers from Poles in SF For Now - Minor Victory
Supervisor Ma's legislation to ban ALL signs on public poles etc was temporarily stopped today by free speech advocates.
Supervisor Fiona Ma suggested legislation banning ALL signs on posts and poles and in the public. An outpouring of free speech advocates caused her to withdraw her legislation for revision. The Land Use Committee tabled it to the "call of the chair". This means it could be put back in motion, but for the time being it is on hold. It was unclear whether she would try again soon.
