Pictures From Berkeley Bowl Walkout

by Z
On Friday Sept 19th, Berkeley Bowl fired produce worker Arturo Perez. Arturo had worked as Berkeley Bowl for close to two years, and had been a very active and vocal leader in the unionization effort. Perez is the second worker that Berkeley Bowl has fired for Union organizing. On Sept 21st at 5PM dozens of Berkeley Bowl workers staged a 15 min walkout in protest. Union busting can not be allowed in a progressive city like Berkeley.

but...please do nor belittle the decisions we make. We work there everyday, taking the pulse of management, customers, and the employees themselves. Fifteen minutes was all we needed. If you were working on this campaign with us, I would open my ears to your advice. You have not been however, so I will simply take your posting as encouragement. At least you are interested.
by hi there
the people will not suffer if you extend your strike an hour longer the next opportunity, the owners will.
the people can purchase their items in other locations as you do not have a monopoly on grocery spots.
courage entails sacrifcing a pitiful yet stable check, but for your honor and dignity sake ain't it WORth it/
