Beware Monsanto GMO hemp

by organic hemp NOW
Why is hemp still illegal in the USA? Other countries like Canada are growing hemp for fiber, clothing, paper, biodiesel and biodegradable plastic. When the Lakota people in South Dakota grow hemp, they are harrassed by federal agents and their crops raided. Preventing people from growing hemp is most likely because Monsanto is planning a patented genetically engineered version of hemp "terminator seeds".
When hemp can promise so much in the way of biodiesel, biodegradable plastics (from cellulose) and other environmentally friendly solutions, people wonder why is still illegal in America. (hint: it's not just because of pot) We know that the initial factors that made hemp illegal were the timber barons like Hearst and the petrochemical industry like Dow and DuPont afraid of competition from this fast growing plant..

Now that other countries like Canada are growing hemp for many purposes, you'd think American government would quit dragging their feet and jump on the hemp bandwagon. There are several reasons that growing hemp is still illegal in America..

The petrochemical industry doesn't like biodegradable plastic made from hemp cellulose. nor do they like biodiesel. Boise Cascade, International Paper, Weyerhauser, MAXXAM/Pacific Lumber don't like the fact that hemp fiber is easier to grow and it's softer fiber requires less energy in the paper pulping process than wood. They also don't like the fact that ANYONE CAN GROW HEMP..

..and this undermines their monopoly on the market for petrochemical plastics, paper pulped many times over and petroleum fuel..

Though the petrochemical and timber giants know their time is running out. Petroleum will soon be gone from under the ground while bodies of Iraqi civilians and US soldiers will replace the underground petroleum. After the remaining forests are clearcut the timber companies will simply look to other resources..

Enter Monsanto, biotech company specializing in Genetically Modified Organisms, the new era of GMO hemp will be dropped on the weary American public via mass media hype. Once the GMO hemp seeds are patented and registered under WTO "free trade" protection, hemp farmers will have to order their terminator hemp seeds from Monsanto w/ accompanying pesticides..

Growing hemp offers us resources that could avoid the ongoing war for oil in Middle East, Africa, Columbia and also prevent the clear cutting of old growth forests by timber corporations like MAXXAM, Weyerhauser, Boise Cascade, etc..

Our independence returns when we grow hemp..
