Berkely double standard
Berkley thinks that its un important that American Jews are killed on a regular basis.
The Berkeley City Council today passed a resolution calling for a Congressional investigation into the death of ISM terrorist supporter Rachel Corrie, and rejected a resolution that would have called for investigations into all American deaths, including those due to Palestinian suicide bombings—which would have included former UC Berkeley student Marla Bennet: Conflicting Mideast Measures Spark Berkeley Council Fracas. (Hat tip: Haiku.)
Middle Eastern politics dominated Tuesday’s Berkeley City Council meeting as audience and Council polarized over two competing resolutions calling for Congressional investigations of deaths in the Israeli-Palestinean conflict.
When the dust settled four hours later, the council had narrowly passed one of the motions, with the second back on the agenda for the elected officials’ next session on the Sept. 16.
The failed “all American deaths inquiry” resolution was the competing measure to the successful “Rachel Corrie death Congressional inquiry” resolution recommended to Council by the Council’s Peace and Justice Commission and adopted by the council on a 5-4 vote.
The results of the two votes divided the audience as much as it did the Council, leaving half walking out in angry disappointment and the other half cheering and waving signs. ...
Seaton’s proposal, included in the Commission report to the Council as a minority recommendation, would have asked that the investigation into Corrie’s death be expanded to include recent deaths of Americans killed by Palestinian suicide bombers, including former UC Berkeley student Marla Bennett.

My question is this: What in regards to Marla Bennett's death has not already been adequetly investigated? Rachel's parents were specific about what information that has been withheld from them, do Ms. Bennett's parents feel that information has been withheld?
Again, it is not that Rachel's death mattered more than others, it is that her life was not worth any less. And it was Rachel's death that lacks the full transparent investigation that has been promised the Corrie family.
As for Marla Bennett, why NOW do the Zionists think to put forth a resolution? Obviously it's just a ploy to confuse.
Marla Bennett was killed in a random attack by a Palestinian suicide bomber (who was also killed, a dual tragedy), not intentially targetted as was Rachel Corrie, a peace activist. The Israelis KNOW who most of the suicide bombers are generally, AND we ALL KNOW how Israel punishes the families of suicide bombers by demolishing their homes, a crime against humanity and against International Law, and performs extrajudicial assassinations killing many innocent civilians in the process. SO INDEED, the death of Marla Bennett did extract a HUGE price from the Palestinians.
But what about the case of Rachel Corrie? Why don't we even know the name of WHO KILLED Rachel Corrie? What IS his name? The Israel government knows but has not released his name. NOR has the Israeli government released its findings from the investigation to the Corries or the US government as promised. NO ONE has been brought to trial for the hideous, deliberate murder of 23 year old Rachel Corrie, a non-violent peace activist.
OUR US tax dollars PAID for the weapon of murder, the two-story Caterpillar bulldozer, and basically pays for the salary of that inhumane Israeli soldier. What is WRONG with this picture?
EVERYTHING! We demand justice for Rachel Corrie.
Look at how justice was achieved for the thrill-seeker, egomaniac Daniel Pearl? They not only found his murderer, but he was brought to trial. And such a BIG DEAL is made about this man who was just looking for a big story, and claimed to want to know "why they hate us?" If he was that ignorant, he had no place even being a journalist. Duh. But justice was served as it should have been to his murderer.
We DEMAND the same justice for American peace activist Rachel Corrie's murderer. It's only fair.
You're kidding, Windy Wendy -- you consider it a tragedy that this suicide bomber died? Maybe if he hadn't had his buddies wrap him in nail-studded plastic explosive, and if he didn't decide that wanted to kill as many civilians as possible, and that he hadn't demonstrated that he wanted the streets to run with Israeli blood so badly that it meant more to him than life itself, you'd have something approximating a defensible position.

I *DEMAND*(!) that Israel investigate the deaths of *EVERYONE* who dies a violent death in Israel -- at the hands of soldiers or civilians, settlers or villagers -- for *NO* one life is worth more than another!
If Israel won't at least investigate the *JEWISH* deaths, including former UC Berkeley student Marla Bennet, as well as all other violent deaths, then I *DEMAND*(!!!) that *ALL* U.S. aid to Israel *CEASE* and that *ALL* Israeli products are *BOYCOTTED*!
RIGHT NOW!!
