13 Palestinian citizens of Israel were killed last year during a peaceful demonstration. A commission put together by the Israeli government whitewashed the incident and put the blame on Palestinian Knesset members for "incitement."
The video shows some of the brutality that occurred that day including people being beaten up and/or shot with Israeli "plastic" bullets at point blank range (Israel's so-called "plastic" bullets are metal bullets with a thin layer of plastic coating).

13 Palestinians were killed by Israeli police in just one peaceful protest.
When Rodney King was beaten up by police, everyone was shocked. Imagine if police killed 13 peaceful protestors here.
In Israel, that is the norm. The Israeli police were not even reprimanded -- let alone arrested or jailed.
No wonder Palestinians choose to resist in other ways rather than peaceful protests which result in their fatalities.

For starters, those 13 Arabs weren't all killed at a single demonstration, but rather at a few demonstrations combined. Secondly, those demonstrations were anything but peaceful. Many demonsrators were hurling rocks and other objects at police and Jewish citizens. One Jewish commuter driving his car had his head smashed by a rock and was murdered.

What crap. The committee strongly recommended two high ranking police officers be fired, and that two higher ranking ones not be promoted. Furthermore, the minister of internal security in charge of the police department at the time, Shlomo Ben-Ami, was charged with ministerial responsibility and donig a miserable job and won't ever be allowed to return to that office. The Or committee has also urged the ministry of Justice to start an independent investigation into the conduct of police officers who were involved in those incidents; if police officers are found guilty of criminal behavior, they will be brought to justice. Anyone living in Israel or closely following ALL the news from Israel knows that recommendations by a state-appointed committee made up of Justices are pretty much binding.
