SF cops being sued by strip-searched women
I'm sure that not everyone who checks this site also chooses to peruse the SF Chronicle, so here's a link to today's article about the arrests and detainment of two non-violent "suspects" by the SFPD and Sheriff's Dept.
They allege, in their lawsuit and interviews, that on separate occasions they were arrested for minor offenses, illegally strip-searched, and left naked in "cold cells". One woman is a grad student accused of public intoxication and the other an anti-war activist charged with vandalism. It could've happened to almost anyone, if their stories are true.
