Despite the unprecedented opposition of millions of people, the FCC voted June 2 to allow the Big 5 media companies that already dominate our airwaves to gobble up even more TV stations and newspapers. On 9/4, the new media ownership rules go into effect.
We must resist the FCC’s plan to give away our airwaves – a scarce public
resource that is vital to democracy – and show Congress, which is now
considering legislation to overturn the FCC decision, that the movement
against media monopolization isn’t going away. On September 4, dozens of
cities will stage protests outside of media outlets to demand an end to the
media monopoly and roll-back of the new ownership rules.

If you object to corporate monopolization of the airwaves, then you should want de-regulation! The major media corps use the FCC to keep the public off the air, so duh - abolish the FCC. Stop running to them for solutions, because they only feed off of that. They are *part of the problem*, because they "sell" the airwaves (which dont even belong to them) and then enforce that ownership by keeping the rest of us out.
Eliminate the FCC - they're nothing but the armed thugs of the media giants anymore. THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND!
