Spotted this "new" campaign poster at Haight and Cole in San Francisco

speaking of which, this woman working at Union Square was describing to me how there is a squad of 18 year old boys given security type uniforms (but not from a traditional security company) who go around driving artists and performers out of Union Square.
Isn't tourism one of the biggest industries in San Francisco? It employs lots of people, and people come to see interesting fun things that might meet the bohemian image we like to project.
But these kids' job is to drive away a guy playing a cello, someone selling paintings, and a woman dressed up in paint doing that thing where one stands perfectly still until someone puts a quarter in the hat, then they take another pose.
It's like, who pays for these people to drive away the artists, and shouldn't the public have a say if this ends up hurting the economy?
