maybe people should start blurring the faces in images that are posted around.
If you haven't got the balls to get your pic taken in public at a protest, then stay home!!
I am someone who is in the background of one of the pictures above, and I don't think that people faces should have to be blurred. I think that it is important that we are public about who we are and what we stand for and that we each be seen!
If my face is to be blurred, it should only be for aesthetic reasons haha.

Americans are not used to be careful about showing theirs faces, but things have changed for a while now, and certainly all these pics (and others) are already in the HSO computers by now. So, when the fascist crackdown comes, it'll be easier to spot dissenters, even without a national ID. I don't have a solution, but in Third World countries and Europe most militants (like late carlo Giuliani) cover their faces with kaffiehs, balaklavas or even t-shirts to make Big Brother's task more difficult. Maybe we all should wear Groucho Marx's masks in protests; it would surely suit these wacko times we live in...
Please contact the White House and advise Bush and the rest of the evil characters to cover up their faces in public so that no one recognizes them. They're about to get impeached and put on criminal trials very soon.
I'm no fan of children, but intentionally placing them in harm's way by taking them to a political protest (taking into account to volatility of the police) seems like a really stupid idea. Oh, and let's not forget the emotionally manipulative (and entirely transparent) propaganda value of placing a placard in a sweet little girl's hand. Exploitation, anyone?
