From shadows of this our country we cry justice
licensia-page.jpg
150 of us immigrants and friends march in downtown Fresno for justice - legalization of all of us and drivers licenses for all of us. There are millions of us here in this our country. We are almost invisible working on farms, in hotels, factories
and thousands of other businesses. We are in the shadows contributing mightily to the wealth of this our country. For more info and to help us, your fellow country people call: (559) 213-3306, 459-0744, 443-1317.

Para un mundo sin los automoviles, la vida saludable, y igualidad para todos. No al guerra para los petroleros!!! No mas automoviles en la ciudad! No mas muertes! Los carros son muy caro!

I agree that all people should have the right to all privileges in any society, unless they abuse those privileges in a way that endangers others. On the other hand, the ideal society shouldn't be based on driving for existence. We are running out of oil and even if we quickly begin to adapt to a world with ever decreasing oil supplies, we risk severe suffering and human die-off. That's a level of environmental racism which far exceeds the denial of driver's licenses, as bad as that denial is.

Anyone who cares should seriously take a look at this book, :

The Party's Over
Oil, War, and the Fate of Industrial Societies
By Richard Heinberg
Foreword by Colin J. Campbell

If you're interested in the idea of sustainable cities which don't require driving, a great resource is:
