Vigil for Sakia Gunn on the Pier at Christopher St., NYC (photos)
Sakia Gunn, a 15-year-old lesbian and resident of Newark, NJ, her girlfriend and friends were on their way home the morning of May 11th when 2 men began harassing them on the street. When the young women said that they were lesbians and refused their advances, they were attacked and Sakia was fatally stabbed in the chest.
