Monthly Rachel Corrie Banner Demo Targets Lantos
On the 16th of every month, concerned American citizens are protesting U.S. support of apartheid Israel with two huge banners with the image of Rachel Corrie in front of the bulldozer that kill ed her. The still unnamed, unpunished Israeli soldier murdered her deliberately while she tried to protect another Palestinian home from being demolished.
The banners feature Rachel Corrie moments before she was murdered deliberately in cold blood while she tried to protect yet another Palestinian home from being demolished, which is a crime against humanity, upon a crime upon humanity. The crimes that Israel committing have been piling up and piling up sky-high. Propped up with OUR U.S. tax dollars, and in OUR name.
It 's time to topple Israel's racist regime, and We the People want to pull the plug on Israel, and in fact, demand that our leaders stop the double standards when it comes to Israel and pressure Israel in every way possible to transform into a true democracy with equal rights for all regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or sex, and allows for the inalienable right to return of all the Palestinian refugees, as it is their right according to UN Resolutions, International Law and world opinion. Just as segregation was ended in the American South, just as South Africa remained one country and was transformed into a true democracy; just as the Berlin Wall came down, so must Israel be forced to transform into a true democracy and tear down their Apartheid Wall.

This month we are going to rally at Congressman Tom Lantos' office! Since he is such a hardline Zionist who consistently puts Israel's interests above America's, and has proved himself to be a complete racist with regards to the Arab world, he merits this kind of pressure in particular.

Time: Noon to 1:30pm
Where: 400 South Camino Real, San Mateo
What to wear: It'd be great if you wear all black. Or if you want, all white. Kaffiyehs (the scarves Palestinians often wear) are a plus.
Feel free to bring your own signs although we will have some available along with the two huge banners.
