- Debunking Israel’s Big Lie About Their Deadly Attack On The USS Liberty; The Situation In Liberia As Bush Turns The Corner Of His Whirlwind Africa Tour; Rumsfeld Claims The Iran Is Moving It’s Borders With Iraq; The Knight Report
-00:00 The Knight Report: by Robert Knight. Bush family’s persistent involvement slavery in Hannibal, Mo. And Greenwich, CN. Owning slaves on both sides of the family. When Danish arms merchant and Bush family patriarch Hendrick Bosch came to America from Amsterdam, the 1790 US Census tallied 13 slaves between the four ‘newly Bush’ families in Greenwich. Upon being questioned repeatedly regarding this at the White House yesterday and today, the stonewalling on the slavery issue continued. The Liberian sociology and the Americanization of West Africa.
-08:00 Dennis Bernstein Intro: Bush in Africa, Amira Woods, Foreign Policy in Focus. In Liberia, Charles Taylor leaving further exacerbates the violence and destabilizing disorder in the streets of Monrovia….Taylor offering to go to Nigeria in exile. Core problems are not addressed in the current U.S. overtures. Mass exodus to neighboring countries remains a danger as long as root issues are not addressed. Dennis Bernstein: The US effort now seems to be supporting civil war in Liberia, funneling arms to the Rebels. Woods: There has be the opportunity to curb the core problems of the diamonds, which have predated and fueled the current crisis. The US is primarily interested in a presence there for intelligence gathering as it relates to the west coast African petroleum extraction in the Gulf of Kenya. With a more sustainable US energy policy domestically these problems would step aside for development and nation building. One point that the Africans are underscoring is the snub of Nelson Mandela’s strong opposition to the Iraq War II. Umbeki wants greater access to US markets for Africa’s products, which are not related to petroleum. What is need is a new international plan which stresses interdependency among the world’s citizens and multilateral involvement, respect for the international criminal court raising the standards for civilized conduct by the world’s leaders. This process begins in the United States.

-27:00 Dennis Bernstein Intro: Iran Border Movement: Sasam Fayazmanesh, California State University at Fresno, Professor. Iran is moving its Iraqi borders according to Donald Rumsfeld. Fayazmanesh: I wouldn’t really take Rumsfeld’s allegations seriously. Dennis: Is this another chapter of a media assisted war prelude? . ..A real possibility.
-42:00 Dennis Bernstein Intro:The USS Liberty Attack: Accident or Design: Dennis with guest: Delinda C. Hanley, editor, “The Washington Report on Middle Eastern Affairs”: The SF Chronicle stepped into the pro-Israeli side of the issue reprinting Hareetz stories that the attack on the USS Liberty was actually a terrible mistake. Actually “if it was an accident it was the best planned accident in history”…Mistaken Identity? Flying American flags…the Israeli’s did not want the passengers to observe the attack on Syria which was happening in the area so they attacked the Liberty and have lied about it since 1967. True to form, the Israeli’s sought to provoke an attack on the Golan Heights by Syria. At the time, the Soviets were gaining a foothold in Syria and Egypt. Nasser closed the straits and war was set to begin. The US conducted the investigation into the attack on the ship and skewed it to hide the Israeli’s attack on the ship. It was a cover-up that required complicity at the Pentagon. Delinda C. Hanley, The Washington Report on Middle Eastern Affairs: Why did the US exonerate Israel? Plausible deniability manufactured to flip the reality under the guise that they took the Golan Heights because they were being attacked, when the truth is just the opposite. They were after the water…For a free copy of The Washington Report on Middle Eastern Affairs containing Delinda’s article call 1-(800) 368-5788 and you will be sent this issue.
