The real reason for war, according to Wilson, is to reshape the map of the region. Which is code for going after any and all Arab countries that might be sympathetic to Palestinians in order to isolate them and make them accept any settlement that Israel might offer (Richard Perle's Project for a New American Century -- PNAC).
