Call SF Supes for Elected Elected Rent Board on 7/8 Agenda
While this current SF Board of Supervisors was supported in the majority by tenants, when it comes to voting for tenant issues, they still have to be called, so please call right now for an elected rent board to be put on the November ballot.
While this current SF Board of Supervisors was supported in the majority by tenants, when it comes to voting for tenant issues, they still have to be called, so please call right now for an elected rent board to be put on the November ballot.
It is Item 38 on the Agenda at:
http://www.sfgov.org/site/uploadedfiles/bdsupvrs/bosagendas/a070803.htm
The swing votes are Supervisors Jake McGoldrick, Gerardo Sandoval, and Sophie Maxwell, all of whom were supported by tenants in their run for office, so clearly they need to be reminded of that as well as to be told to support Item 38, to place the charter amendment for an elected rent board on the November 2003 ballot. That's the same one that will have the mayor's race and the district attorney's race.
All of the supervisors have voice mail, so you can call them at any time. They all make decisions that affect all our lives, so it does not matter where you live, you can still call all of them. The contact information is as follows:
