Iraq Needs Israeli Troops
Israel is a Mid-East 'democracy', shouldn't Israel help her neighbor become a democracy too. Now that Saddam is gone, I am sure the Iraqi people would welcome the Israelis with flowers and cheers as Israel has the most experience in suppressing violence and bringing order to Arabs, right?
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Six British soldiers died in southern Iraq on Tuesday, and eight others were wounded when Iraqis ambushed a patrol and a helicopter.
The circumstances of the deaths were unclear. The slain soldiers were military policemen who were training Iraqi police, Defense Secretary Geoffrey Hoon said in London.
Hoon said initial reports were that the deaths occurred in a police station.
Earlier, a British army spokesman in Basra said Iraqis ambushed the British soldiers.
