CBS 60 Minutes on IIT : Whiz Kids or Migrant Workers?

CBS 60 Minutes claims that IIT is MIT + Princeton + Harvard in India. True. But what about in the USA? An IITian (Bombay) explores gender, caste inequality, brain drain, outdated grading system etc in a personal, yet critical set of essays.

This program makes Indians feel proud. It shows how the Ivy league schools of the USA are the safety schools for some of the kids who cannot get admission to highly-competitive IITs.

ON this website, the author Kamal Sinha, an IITian (graduate of IIT Bombay) explains that all is not great in IITs and explores the possiblity of untold socio-economic factors resulting in CBS's 60 Minutes broadcast.

Topic covered are IIT-JEE, draconian grading, selection of majors, lack of diversity and much more. All the essays are unpolished and will be improved over time. New essays will be introduced.
