Most Dangerous Man in Washington

by JackKuykendall (JackKuykendall [at] msn.com)
Review of Bush policy in Iraq and its implications
The most violent man in Washington is George W Bush. He just assaulted an entire country--Iraq--and will do so again if not stopped!! Iraq, of course, is the country his own father (and Reagan before him) had carried on a scandalous, sordid affair with (to support America's oil addiction) in the 1980s. (An affair arranged by none other than Mr. Donald Rumsfield and Dr. Henry Kissinger).

But when America's olive-skinned paramour jilted George the Elder one hot August night in 1990 and ran off with Kuwait, Poppy, in a jealous rage, surrounded Iraq with hired guns, savagely attacked her, and took Kuwait for himself. Then he locked Iraq up behind a wall of UN Sanctions as punishment.

To cover his tracks and those of his predecessor, Poppy lied about the affair and made up all sorts of excuses to explain his violent reaction. And then, finally, when leaving office, he pardoned (and thus effectively silenced) all those who had been indicted by investigators seeking the truth behind both that scandal and other secretive affairs of the Reagan and Bush Era. Damn! The way ol'e Poppy Bush played hardball made Bill Clinton look like an Arkansas bush leaguer.

And speaking of hardball, our current president, the younger Bush, in pursuit of his post-9/11 MidEast imperium, has not only misused the tragedy of 9/11 to justify conquering Iraq, he has also brazenly used some of the scandalous stuff from the his father's day to brand Iraq a harlot hiding WMDs beneath her skirts. Now, however, with Baghdad safely clasped to America’s bosom, the question on everyone’s lips is where have all those venomous weapons gone. Shall we bring in Kenneth Starr to investigate?

Unlike Monicagate, Uncle Sam's recent intervention in Iraq could well prove to be the kind of duplicitous and rapacious behavior that warrants Congressional investigation--maybe even the impeachment and conviction of a sitting president for genuine high crimes and misdemeanors--something not seen in Washington since the days of... Richard Nixon. Could it be time for regime change in America?
