Elderly and low-income tenants, many of whom need to be near the services offered in Chinatow, of the Pacific Renaissance Plaza are being evicted out of their apartments. The move out date is July 31. Find out how you can help!
At this meeting you will hear the latest details on the campaign and find out how you can act to support their demands. This is an issue that affects all Asian communities in Oakland, and all people concerned about housing as a basic right in the Bay Area.
The Stop Chinatown Evictions Committee is a coalition of tenants from teh Pacific Renaissance Plaza, Asian Pacific Environmental Network, CJWP (Moving Forward for Justice), East Bay Community Law Center, Just Cause Oakland, Oakland Tenants Union and United Seniors of Alameda County.
