Save Alaska's wolves from being hunted indiscriminately once again

Whereas, wolves are only beginning to recover from almost a century of slaughter and near extinction in the lower 48 states;

Whereas, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s final rule to reclassify the gray wolf will reduce federal protections for wolves and sets the stage for prematurely removing wolves from Endangered Species Act protections entirely;

Whereas, states across the nation are already taking actions that threaten the lives of wolves;

Therefore, I support Defenders of Wildlife in any effort to take legal action against the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s on this critical issue, so wolves will remain a vibrant part of America’s natural heritage.
