A salaam a lekum, it was a great birthday today for El Hadjj Malik Shabazz, one of the greatest leaders our country has ever produced.
A man who was at the very least the intellectual equivilent of our smartest presidents, Lincoln and Jefferson.
A man who knew the origins and use of every word in the dictionary.
A man who had the spiritual knowledge that can come only from a phoenix-like life.
A man who spoke out for every oppressed person everywhere in the world, and who exemplifies the message of hypocritical lip service echoed by powerful voices saying "TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR ACTIONS"
No one illustrates this more clearly than My hero Malcom.
