New website for the Sacramento mobilizations

by mwah-hah-ha
The new website for the Sacramento mobilization is up and running. Look for it to be updated soon with all the information you'll need for the various mobilizations. Come to Sacramento to help inaugurate the next round of resistance to globalization and genetic engineering in North America. Say no to the WTO!!!
CALL TO ACTION!

HUNGRY FOR JUSTICE?
Want to resist the WTO, US Empire and Corporate Globalization? Fed up with genetically engineered trees, food, fish, future? Believe that access to healthy food and clean water is a fundamental human right?

Everything is possible!

MOBILIZE IN SACRAMENTO! CONVERGE JUNE 20-25 2003!

This June the Bush administration, USAID, USDA, and the State Department are hosting government ministers from 180 nations and transnational corporate reps in a meeting to pave the way for ‘free trade’, privatization of water, and factory farming: agribusiness that drives family farmers off the land, hijacks the global food supply and starves the poor. Stand in solidarity with people’s movements and peasant farmers around the world to protest and disrupt this meeting. Free trade agreements such as the CAFTA and FTAA are most vulnerable on issues of agriculture - the global negotiations on these issues are crumbling and the WTO dispute over biotech is brewing. The Bush Administration wants to ensure agribusiness as usual.

Their agenda? Biotech foods, animals and forests…food irradiation…terminator seeds…’free trade’ for corporate crooks…pesticides and patents on life…biopiracy…widening the gap between the rich and poor...privatization of water, indigenous wisdom, seeds, biodiversity, and the genetic building blocks of life itself…

Our response? A festival of diverse resistance to big biotech, bioimperialism, the Bush Administration and ‘free trade’. Non-violent direct action, marches, rally, teach-in, alternative expo and more to confront the corporate agenda of ‘free trade’ and war on the earth! Demand food sovereignty, safe food and farmers’ rights!

JOIN USin the streets of Sacramento for a five-day convergence of action and education! We will join the world in saying no more hunger, no more genetic engineering, no patents on life and no WTO!

Plug IN to the convergence…

Don't let the imperialists privatize agriculture! Everyone knows that the state can provide food better than the private sector can. Just ask 50 million dead Russians and Chinese!
by yawn
take a look at the "private"agriculture in the US: massive outright state-giveaways, price supports, subsidized water, terribly exploited labor, toxified land..

or take a look at a place like Nicaragua: as the commodity price of coffee plummets on world markets (producing no reduction in the price of a cup here in the US), agricultural proletarians eat dirt as perfectly arable land is pulled out of production.

ah, the wonders of market capitalism!

Will there be a black bloc?

by albert camus
well i hope so, lets do it. take action into our own hands. there will be at least 5 of us that i know of.
by Albert Camus
i hope there will be. i havent heard much. there are five of us i know of willing and able. lets do it, take actions into our own hands. we should be enraged by what is going on.
by head counter
enough for a commando squad, maybe, but for a black bloc? Never.

Let’s not let the authorities know what our plans will be to shut down the meeting. After all, isn’t that what made Seattle such a success?

we have on average less than an inch of useable top soil left we must act now, you cannot wait, start composting today, all household garbage can be composted, we must replenish the earth now

Population Birth Control.

malignant cancer of the ecosystem
gnawing at a mother
children she loves
cankered womb and body
nurtures a pathogen
that feeds too much
no respect for life
endless degradation
of the whole environment
generalist species
adaptation comes so easily
feeding on all that lives
there’s no end to what it eats
withstands natures forces
affluent where ever it lives
ending symbiotic relationships
it takes and takes and never gives
slowly spreading the cancer
leaving scars
erected buildings and industry
aviation freeways and cars
no respect for some
all for profit mentality
the end of earth has begun
the tumors feed and grow
all the land turns to stone
biodiversity reduced
from a parasites abuse
the airs not safe to breathe no more
oceans push bodies on the shore
ecosystem that was built
poisoned by a mother milk
and there is nothing it cant endure
every sickness there’s a cure
consuming all that exists
blackened brown beauty drowns in cicts
a mothers body covered in sores
a putrid odor reeks from pores
with her fever running high
human don’t die off we fucking multiply
we are hazardous to all life
population multiplies
nothing kills us in the end
this blight abominations genocide
total annihilation of human parasites
world healing chemotherapy
put an end to natures blight famine
mass starvation limiting factors of our own
natures savior human error
population birth control

Sacramento organizers have posted this request, which I believe will guarantee an optimum amount of particpation and effectiveness
"NON-VIOLENCE HALLMARKS
All participants in this action are asked to agree to these non-violence hallmarks. Having this basic agreement will allow people from many backgrounds, movements and beliefs to work together for this action.
They are not philosophical or political requirements placed upon you, or judgements about the validity of some tactics over others. These hallmarks are basic agreements that create a basis for trust, so we can work together for this action and know what to expect from each other.
1. We will use no violence, physical or verbal, towards any person. We consider speech or acts that are racist, homophobic, or sexist to be violent.
2. We will carry no weapons
3. We will not bring or use any alcohol or illegal drugs
4. We will not destroy property
5. We will respect the rights of all people.
We want your energy, ideas, and participation. We invite everyone to join us and ask that you respect our hallmarks, which we believe best serve the interests of our community, here in Sacramento."

Government is violence

Capitalism is violence

Blind Conformity to both is violence

Property&Authority is violence.

the cold war executed two Jews at the behest of the zionist media, the Rosenbergs, may they rest in peace1

Why are the zionists not calling for the execution of the israeli spy- john pollard, who may be granted diplomatik immunity and be flown to israel unlike the Communist Rosenberg!

Those who wish to engage in violent forms of protest should organize their own events and not endanger those who wish to engage in non-violent exercise of first amendment rights.

Action is great, but violence at large protests just provides an excuse for cop riots...if they don't make up their own excuses.

We must live as though we are free, as M. Gandhi said.

Vandalism is vandalism and violence is violence.
Get it stright people. Property can not feel pain.
Only animals, people, and the environment can feel pain and it's all done by property anyway. Again, property destruction is not violence, it is just vandalism.

by none
endanger others? In all of the black bloc actions in SF how many passive protesters were hurt? I saw a sum total of none. Just because some people in Sacramento declare that it is "their" protest does not make it so; the block will be there, and, as always, we will try to minimize the threat of police violence to passive protesters.

Everyone knows that private ownership of property is the definition of capitalism so, to disagree that property brings life to capitalism would make you full of rhetorical bullshit.

What do you stand for? Who's side are you on anyway?
by samo
i was with a girl and some protester tried to attack and hit her while we were painting and breaking windows, demanding that she be non-violent! she put that guy on his back before i could even get over to help her out and screamed in his face, "fuck, we both depend on eachother, i take the action you can't, while you try and distance yourself as much as you can from my actions so you can reach your target demographic! so lay the fuck off."

dividing and defining ourselves only helps to deaden the impact we might have on the real things we want changed. fuck that manifesto to "behave" and "act non-violently" which translates repect the property of global capitalism. those things have to besaid to keep the heat of people and orgs involved.

the rock thorwers, the fire wielding and spray painters are non-violent. they just might be the most carring and compassionate of all the people attending.
The police might be human when they are at home with their families but, once they get in their cop uniform and onto the street they are nothing more but, robots with out a conscience. We all know this but, never the less we still treat them as if they were human with all the same rights.

Like solders in the military they are not there to think but to act on command by the chief, no questions asked no matter what the issue is. Since the police aren’t thinkers, the law is left at the mercy of the rich and powerful who can manipulate over turn laws to their advantage and use the police as their tool when people don’t obey the right for them to oppress us.

The law can be changed so easily, (if you have money). Big business has no problem getting what they want. Politicians have no problem getting what they want in return from these businesses (money). So it works both ways. The police, what are they going to do. Up hold the law to protect and serve. Protect and serve who?

Are they human? Or are they nothing more but, a robotic functioning organism.
Since the amount of money we have is not even close to the amount of money they have, we either accept the way things are going to be run or we take it to the front line to stop this trading away of our future.

We don’t have the money so it comes down to the last resort, (direct action) confronting police and interrupting global trade summits where business and government come together to plot our passing out of existence.

This is a battle that can only be fought with money or revolution. Take your pick. They will not listen to protestors even if it is in the millions. How much longer do we have before it is too late to stop all the madness?

When will the movement for social and economic justice incorporate direct action 100% to throw out WTO, IMF, World Bank, and the G8? When is it going to happen? When will we come together to plot the passing out of their existence instead of protest and go home to let things be business as usual?
