To the media and public opinion

We have received the following report, which we transmit as follows

In Paris, democratic activist defending the rights of the political prisoners, have carried out a protest act in front of the Embassy of Peru in France. The activists, having their origins in various countries and continents, have demanded an end to the isolation of Chairman Gonzalo and have denounced torture as a cruel and inhuman form of torture. While some of them shouted the slogans in favor of these demands, others covered the main entrance and door of the Embassy with posters. These posters denounce the treatment to which are subjected Dr. Abimael Guzmán (Chairman Gonzalo) and Oscar Ramírez Durán (Comrade Feliciano), prisoners of war of the Communist Party of Peru, being held in total isolation by the Peruvian state.

Hemos recibido el siguiente informe, que les transmitimos:

En Paris, activistas demócratas, defensores de los derechos de los prisioneros políticos, han realizado un acto de protesta frente a la Embajada peruana en Francia. Dichos activistas, originarios de varios países y continentes, han exigido poner fin al aislamiento del Presidente Gonzalo y denunciado el aislamiento como una forma cruel e inhumana de tortura. Mientras algunos de ellos coreaban sus reclamos, otros han cubierto la puerta y la fachada de la Embajada de carteles denunciando el tratamiento al cual están sometidos el Dr. Abimael Guzmán (Presidente Gonzalo) y Oscar Ramírez Durán (Camarada Feliciano), prisioneros de guerra del Partido Comunista del Perú, que son mantenidos en aislamiento absoluto por el Estado peruano.

Nous avons reçu et transmettons l'information suivante :

A Paris, des activistes démocrates, défenseurs des droits de prisonniers politiques, ont réalisé un acte de protestation en face de l'Ambassade péruvienne en France. Les activistes, originaires de plusieurs pays et continents, ont exigé la fin de l'isolement du Président Gonzalo et ont dénoncé l'isolement comme étant une forme de torture cruelle et inhumaine. Pendant que quelques-uns ont fait chorus pour ces appels, d'autres ont couvert la porte et la façade de l'Ambassade avec des affiches. Ces affiches dénoncent le traitement auquel sont soumis le Dr. Abimaël Guzmán (Président Gonzalo) et Oscar Ramírez Durán (Camarade Feliciano), des prisonniers de guerre du Parti Communiste du Pérou que sont maintenus en isolement total par l'Etat péruvien.
