The Oakland City Council public safety committe met tuesday 4/29/03 re the A7 police attacks, brought a number of speakers to the podium re routine police violence in communities of color. here is one speaker, followed by a proposal from the Budhist Peace Fellowship. 5:30 56k

I'm glad to see that so many showed up and participated. I've been a few already and couldn't make this one. And what an emotional clip of that woman speaking. As the man spoke, about a reconciliation idea, I sort of felt like, 'right, forget it. they just want to dole out some cash and go home to figure out their next power play.'
