Terrorists in Israel targeting CHILDREN!

Palestine, April 26, 2003, (IPC+WAFA) -- A field survey made by the "Al Haq", a Palestinian institution for human rights, affirmed that the Jewish extremist group which lately claimed the responsibility for a series of explosions inside Palestinian schools within the last 18 months, is using booby traps in the shape of children’s toys so as to inflict as many losses as possible among Palestinian school children.



Omar Jobran, head of field information center of “Al Haq” said " child vengeance” a Jewish organization has perpetrated several blasts in ‘Soor Baher’ School near Jerusalem, ‘Yatta’ School near Hebron, and ‘Jabaa’ School near Jenin, as well as other hostile acts. The booby trapped toys-like were placed inside Palestinian schools and its courtyards that lures the children.



Jobran added that all the outcomes of the survey proved that the booby traps were placed basically at times the students are gathered either on their way to schools or during the break hour, in order to inflict as many as possible losses among the innocent Palestinian children.



He went on saying that the same Jewish group has planted land mines beneath a tree adjacent to a wall 80cm high, in the area which enfolds the classrooms of Soor Baher School in Jerusalem.



He also pointed out that the plan was to spray as much shrapnel at the classrooms and the gathering place. The explosion which took place on March 5, 2002 resulted in wounding tens of Palestinian students and two caretakers.



“The explosion was immense, the shrapnel have been scattered for further 800m from the scene,” Jobran said.



He also pointed out that the shape of the explosive bomb is done in a way to lure children, and is made of pink colored tin material and filled with a sponge like substance.



“On September 17, 2002 another explosion took place in Hebron primary school of Zaif, while the students were inside their class rooms, and luckily the losses have been less, though the explosion was intensive and there could have been a real massacre yet 11 pupils were wounded, Al Haq" sources said.



As well, a strong explosion took place in Jabaa School in Jenin City on April 15, 2002 in which more than 25 pupils were wounded, of them two in a critical condition, according to the institution.



Jobran, the institution director accused the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and Israeli police of covering up the Jewish settlers’ crimes, including the so called "Children Revenge" against the Palestinian people, pointing out that experience proved that when the Israeli police say "we are investigating the accident", ultimately it means omitting the case.
