GOP activist sentenced on child porn charges
A longtime Republican activist in Northern Virginia was sentenced to two years' probation after pleading guilty to a charge of child pornography.
Richard Delgaudio was charged with taking sexually explicit photographs of a 16-year-old girl. According to court documents and Baltimore police, he paid the girl by the hour for the photo shoots at a Maryland hotel.
As part of a plea agreement, a Baltimore Circuit Court judge placed Mr. Delgaudio on probation, ruling that if he meets the conditions of probation, the judge won't convict him.
According to filings with the Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Delgaudio heads several conservative activist groups from offices in Fairfax County.
His attorneys issued a statement saying that their client acknowledges his moral shortcomings andwill seek counseling.

2 years for the production and possession of child porn?????????????? Who's kidding who here? Does the judge, prosecutor and defense attorney think the public is that dumb???? Shame on all of them, this sham of a sentence is deplorable.
So I guess if you're a political bigwig, it's OK to produce and possess child pornography, even though the Federal and State statues find that it shocks the conscious?????

This is an outrage!!!! Because this man is in the political arena he gets special consideration?
This man did not just view child porn, collect child porn or purchased child porn, this man abused a young girl in order to produce fresh chil porn. He deserves jail time for the CRIME he commited. It was NOT a moral violation, it was a CRIME that is punishable by jail time.
If the girl was willing, does that make it less a crime? NO!!! I hope his victim sues him for everything he has!!! She deserves the best therapist and an opportunity for a better future and MR. CONSERVATIVE should pay for it!

Apparently not! A SIXteen yr. is still a child! This child was used, abused and victimized.
I assume that the victimizer, being a politicial activist, has many strong connections and it's election time in Virginia?????? Or better yet, are the judge,and prosecutor NOT concerned that a CHILD PORNOGRAPHER is still walking their streets? What if the victim were their daughter, sister, neice etc.? This victimizer was not just viewing or worse collecting child porn..... he was MAKING it!

Pervert Richard's brother- Eugene Delgaudio - is executive director of an organization that raises money to promote gay bashing and mass hate mailings. (http://www.publicadvocateusa.org) Eugene is also running for re-election this year for a Loudoun County (VA) Board of Supervisor's seat.
