ON MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND, SPEAK UP FOR PEACE
Bring Our Sons and Daughters Home Now • Another World is Possible • U.S. Out of Iraq!
Saturday, May 10, 1 PM
Lindley Meadow, Golden Gate Park
Please join dozens of Bay Area peace and justice organizations as we reclaim the original meaning of Mother's Day, a day on which women would rise up and oppose war in all its forms. Through cultural performances and personal testimonies by individuals who have experienced first-hand the devastation of war, we hope to deepen our understanding of the reality of war and put forward our vision of a world at peace.
Endorsers of this event include American Friends Service Committee, SF Bay Area United Against War, Campus Anti-War Network, CodePink, Chinese Progressive Association, Global Exchange, Harvey Milk Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual Democratic Club, Labor for Peace and Justice, Not In Our Name, Socialist Action, United for Peace and Justice, US Labor Against War, Vanguard Public Foundation, Peninsula Peace and Justice Center and many others.
