Fake Photo from Military
Yesterday a doctored photo was published of Australian special forces showing 51 planes in Western Iraq.
Check out this fake plane photo posted by Reuters. I will attach it in case they change it. I can't believe this A.P. reporter didn't check the photo:

It's easy to see if you paste this into mspaint on Windows XP. Grab the Corner with the diagonal arrow and enlarge the picture proportionately. You can almost immediately see the overlapping seam. Then use zoom and scan where the last palm tree on the right meets the plane. You will see the splice where the pixels of the plan "overlap" the Palm Tree. The Russian defense minister said on cdi.org that he didn't think the Iraqis had any planes left. So why is the coalition planting this cover story? Planes in the Western Iraqi desert? Unseen by our satellites and special operations? There must be some story being cooked up. Perhaps we will bomb out of some Baghdad target or maybe an American city and blame it on the Iraqis MIGs. Perhaps this is a prelude to a cooked up story about finding weapons of mass destruction. But why would they do such a poor job with the fake? Why are the Australians wearing balaclavas in the desert anyway?

... but then i checked the original photo again.
and sure enough, there is a terrible job of fitting the plane image over the palm tree image. fucking amazing. and once you look closely, it's obvious too!
what the hell is going on here? by my count, this is the THIRD instance of doctored photos since the war began. good job to people for pointing them out.
(btw, the reason why special forces are hiding their faces is because they do not want their indentities revealed. so that part of this botched doctored photo is "accurate".)

Not that I'm all that computer savvy, but I spend a good time cutting and pasting to make Graphics by Vince. Enlarge the picture and look immediately to the left of the guy on the right's face. Cut & Paste job. Also, look to the extreme right of the plane where it overlaps the palm tree trunk that it is supposed to be behind!
... if the photos are fake, then i would imagine the article that goes with it is a fake piece of shit as well.
i tried to find the specific news agency photograher, and all the credits said was "Reuters (Handout)".
i'm not sure exactly what "handout" means, but i think it means a picture is just handed to any news agency, such as reuters, that wants to use it. and that's probably the same method for the story as well.
hmm, if i was some teenage kid with photoshop, or maybe some, you know, GOVERNMENT, i could "handout" this freelance fake story and fake pictures, and have it pass as real news. because it seems as if the editors at reuters don't look at the photos, nor do they seem to verify that their story was done by an actual, professional journalist.
what a nice little loop hole to take advantage of...

Unless you have the original hi-res (camera-produced) file. Scaling an image can produce the same type of artifacts.
Wouldn't it be more productive to agitate for more on-the-ground relief, donate goods for the Iraqi population, volunteer for the Red Cross/Red Cresent or other useful activity rather than focusing on this tin-hat bullishit?

... and remember, always trust everything you see in the media.
What an astonishing piece of info! But, again, are we surprised? Nah! One can be astonished without being surprised, and nothing the aggressors in this terrorist attack on a soverign nation do surprises me. I wonder what they will have for us next, hmm?
Here's a photograph of what Australian troops really found at that site.
This is one of the most sophisticated Iraqi military weapons in existence.
Its capable of carrying enough Anthrax to kill millions of Americans.
