Of all the articles I read, one in the Weekly Standard is, by any measure, an absolute stunner. With all the talk of "hating Jews" and "persecuted people" and the most tired-old shibboleth of all, "anti-Semitism", along comes this article with the headline:

JEWISH WRITERS SAY THAT POWERFUL ZIONIST JEWS DROVE USA INTO MIDDLE EAST WAR FOR SAKE OF ISRAEL!

Of course, those of us who can count past ten, knew this all along. But to hear Jewish writers, Jewish intellectuals, and Jewish activists expound on it-and out loud-- is worth a read in any language. It proves that honesty seeks its own level.

Obviously, their comments are too many and too long to print them all, but here are some excerpts from each one, for your edification.

Frankly, I hate giving any of my allotted space to others writers, especially better ones than me, but these comments are so revealing I hope that the people like the knowbodies who forced Congressman James Moran to resign, and denounced Pat Buchanan for saying exactly the same thing, have guts enough to keep reading.

(1) The only country that fears Iraq's WMD is Israel.

(2) American Jewish neocons on the Defense Policy Board (Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowtiz) planned the war in 1998 and made it a Bush administration policy.

(3) The purpose of the war is to change the balance of power in the Middle East so Israel can settle the Palestinian issue on its own terms.

(4) Congress trembles in fear before the Israel lobby (AIPAC)

"In 1996, when Benjamin Netanyahu was prepared to take office, eight Jewish neocon leaders sent him a six-page memo outlining an aggressive vision of government. At the top of their list was overthrowing Saddam. They sketched out a kind of domino theory in which the governments of Syria and other Arab countries might later fall or be replaced. As of this writing, the media are already plying the American people with the prospect of U.S. forces attacking Syria. Reason? Same old story: a dictator to topple, and weapons of mass destruction to find, if indeed there are any.

Which, of course, proves rather conclusively two things. First, the credibility, honesty, and accuracy of the Jewish revelations above. Second, the specter of a disastrous Armageddon becoming more and more a possibility in the Middle East.

Since many of our citizens refuse to accept, or even recognize, that we have been tricked into this predicament by devious Zionist warmongers, it behooves the rest of us to demand that we bring our troops home now, and begin an investigation into how this hijacking of our Administration, Defense Department, and foreign policy was made possible.

If we do not insist on this, then we have no right to shed tears when the biggest hammer of all falls.
