The number arrested for throwing fire bombs and burning banks in Rome was 10-20x less than those arretsed for protesting on the sidewalk in SF!! And people claim there is a right to dissent in the US.
That just means we are better at policing
Are you a cop?
SF has a policy of arresting protesters on fear that they might do something. This type of policy would be seen asa human rights violation in Europe where the right to protest is seen as a fundamental right.... but the US (and Willie Brown) never does really care too much about freedom so...
