beautiful photographs!

I know the war is awful and only serving big business, especially the oil companies, but it makes me sad to see our beautiful flag being drug over the ground. I have always loved the US flag and I always will. Just because our leaders drag it thru the mud with their actions doesn't mean we have to just to make a statement.

I am a peace activist as well. But I do not like to see US flag dragged around or disrespectfully handled. Because this flag belong to us as well. I believe we should fight for brining the flag respect it deserves and become peace symbol around the world. Actually this flag should belong to the peace movement. This administration or people that believe to war are the solution they should select the pirate flag.

I am somewhat ambivalent about this. The picture I took is visually interesting, and certainly provocative, however, it is also somewhat disturbing.

Nevertheless, I believe that the flag only has meaning if it is occasionally literally ratherly than metaphorically dragged through the mud.
