Rupert Murdoch's Fox to use "The Simpsons" To Promote Tony Blair
War crimes are not funny! Former Olympia resident and Evergreen student Matt Groening's TV show "The Simpsons" is now being used as as tool to promote war criminal Tony Blair and his far right agenda.
David Beckham may not have been famous enough for the Simpsons, but Tony Blair certainly is!
The British Prime Minister has taken time out from dealing with the Iraq war to record a spot in the same episode of the cartoon that JK Rowling is in, the Regina Monologues.
The PM recorded three lines of dialogue for the show on Friday while at Downing Street.
Mr Blair will give tourism tips to Homer and the rest of his yellow family when they are in the country for a visit.
"The Prime Minister takes every opportunity he can to promote Britain," a Downing Street spokesman said.
Mr Blair is the first British leader to appear in the comedy, although former US presidents Bill Clinton, George Bush and Jimmy Carter have all featured.

At least Homer kicked the shit out of Bush Sr. (and thankfully Bart trashed his memoirs as well).
Keep telling yourself that moderate and Right Republicans and Democrats don't support killing. If it makes you feel good about yourself and your country, more power to you.
The Rebublicrats, including the likes of Blair, the majority of the UN, and Bush the First supported Hussein since the late 60s. The last 12 years of sanctions supported by both Republicans and Democrats have killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. Until recently, the US has been Saddam's Little Helpers, for decades.
It is only since bin Laden has taken Hussein's title as the Evilest Bad Guy, that Hussein has beome expendable. US military brass know they have ample excuses to keep their coffers overflowing with US taxpayer dollars earmarked for health care, retirement, the environment, a safe food and water supply, etc., for decades to come. Iraq's oil is far too tempting to leave it alone.
Do you really think the Bush administration cares about Arabs? Friend, they are only in the game for themselves. They are locking up Arabs on the drop of a hat. The Bush administration can look like the guys in white hats only via a complicit and gullible US media and public.
Like many Iraqis, I am glad to see the West's dictator of Iraq ousted. But there are many other US-supported dictators in that region, many of them just as bad as Hussein, and definitely just as oppressive when it comes to women's rights, due process, etc.. Shall we go after Saudi Arabia next? Iran? Syria? Rather than intervening militarily, it would be a good start for the US to stop providing military aid to these dictators. But we know why that won't happen, because these leaders share their profits and must rule with an iron fist in order to prevent uprisings. The US and indeed, just about every other nation will do whatever it takes to get the oil out of the region.
Yes, I'm glad that in this one instance (unlike Indonesia) the US has cleaned up a mess of its own making. However, we shall see if this is really a permanent solution. History says otherwise.
God save our children who are sent to war for the profit and fame of old white men. I too pray for them to come home, and to stay there. But I have been doing that long before 9/11, and I'm well aware that the US troops are never coming home from the Middle East, or South Korea, or the Phillippines, or Germany, and on and on and on. Not in our lifetimes.

Matt Groening is a total sell-out! He has worked out a deal with Burger King to use Simpson's kitsch to sell their "food."
First off, for all you know Blair makes fun of himself on the show. Second off, so what if Groening made a deal with Burger King? It's his show!!! He can sell handguns and rubber cement with it if he wants too, and there isn't a damn reason why he can't!!!
