this is great!!!
the fight will go on.
i'm glad to see some of the precision-guided targets happening. i'd also like to see us all get back in the streets in the financial district.
this is the best anti-war organizing in history. it isn't going to "just go away" ...

It didn't work. The ruling class is not in the streets. It's in mansions and board rooms. It is there that we must confront it.
Go the the financial district on any given day and there they are. You know they walk on the street to get from the mansion to the board room. These small direct actions are ok but not for people who have jobs or want to create something that is for more than just a small band of nonviolent resisters.
The vast, overwhelming majority of people in the financial district during the day are workers.
On Friday, April 11, about sixty members of the Santa Cruz Citizen Weapons Inspections Team visited the Lockheed Martin facility at the top of Empire Grade in Bonny Doon. The goal of the team was to ascertain to what extent that facility is developing weapons of mass destruction.

I wish you great success in your LockheedMartin shut down. I will be listening on Enemy Combatant Radio. Looks like we should hit Bechtel again, heh?
Machinists working in a Texas Lockheed Martin plant that produces F-16's have been on strike since April 14th 2003. The 4,000 men and women of Local 776 walked out of the job on Monday April 14th, because of a contract dispute with Lockheed Martin. Perhaps the people engaging in this action on Tuesday April 22nd at Sunnyvale should make some signs showing solidarity with the workers of Local 776. It appears as if this story hasn't gotten much coverage in the mainstream national press. So when we go out there on Tuesday, let us show solidarity with the workers of Local 776.

I am confused. The main strory appears to encourage the shut-down (or something akin thereto) of Lockheed in Sunnyvale.
Then it encourages people to support workers who are on strike and really shutting down Lockheed Martin.
Do you want the workers to get higher wages (actully this strike is about medical co-payments) and the strike to end? Aren't these the folks who actually build the weapons that some find objectionable? Or would you rather that the folks who you are supporting never go back to work?

the woman in black's t-shirt has been modified! it is supposed to say "free palestine" on the side of the red fist! why would dasw deliberately omit a message for palestinian liberation on a promotional flyer? i would hope that this movement, and especially those who are taking leadership within this movement, understand that the brutal occupation of palestine, and the us-supported genocide of the palestinian people, are as much a threat to ALL of our freedom as the ridiculous war in iraq. i am severely disappointed at this act by dasw.
And the proof of this is?
