The East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse Workers invite you to a Big Rally!

2 PM - Sunday, April 13, 2003 - 6713 San Pablo Ave (at Folger) in Oakland

THE EMPLOYEES OF THE EAST BAY DEPOT FOR CREATIVE REUSE have unionized with the IWW. We invite the public to our kickoff rally to build community support for our organizing efforts as well as to enjoy music, art, and speakers.

Tell all of your friends, comrades, fellow workers, family members, and fellow activists about this demonstration and to attend to support our union.

Meanwhile, the workers at Stone Mountain & Daughter (fabrics store) on Shattuck Avenue (between Dwight Way & Blake Street) have informed their boss that they too have joined the IWW and are seeking recognition. Stay tuned for further updates.

ACORN has lost an appeal against IWW members in Dallas, related to our organizing campaign at Philadelphia, Seattle, Dallas, and Portland ACORN.

The IWW has also won a union election in Boston - Details in this month's upcoming issue of the Industrial Worker.

The IWW will have a table at the antiwar demonstration on Saturday, April 12, at Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco. We need as many volunteers as possible to help us gather names and contact information from community supporters and to distribute leaflets about Sunday's rally at the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse.

Look for the table any time between 9 AM - 5 PM on Saturday, April 12.

If we can get enough volunteers, perhaps we can also set up a table at the Socialist Scholars Conference at UC Berkeley on Sunday before the rally at East Bay Depot. Call (415) 863-9627 for details.
