OAKLAND POLICE LIBERATE ANTIWAR PROTESTORS

by Proud American Patriot
Oakland Police engaged in an act of liberating antiwar protestors yesterday. Contrary to the propaganda put out by antiwar protestors, these non-lethal rubber bullets are "liberation" bullets--similar to the "liberation" bombs being used to liberate the Iraqi people. See the below picture of a Liberated protestor, if you don't believe these facts.

Police Attack California Anti-War Protesters
by Martha Mendoza

OAKLAND, Calif. - Police open fired Monday morning with non-lethal bullets at an anti-war protest at the Port of Oakland, injuring several longshoremen standing nearby.

Police were trying to clear protesters from an entrance to the docks when they opened fire and the longshoremen apparently were caught in the line of fire.

Six longshoremen were treated by paramedics and at least one was expected to be taken to a hospital. It was unclear if any of the protesters was injured.

"I was standing as far back as I could," said longshoreman Kevin Wilson. "It was very scary. All of that force wasn't necessary."

Last week, a San Francisco-based peace group, Direct Action to Stop the War, had announced that it would stage a series of protests Monday involving new acts of civil disobedience.

The Port of Oakland was among the targets, organizers had said, because at least one shipping company is handling war supplies.

Trent Willis, a business agent for the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, said angrily that dockworkers were leaving the docks after the incident.

"They shot my guys. We're not going to work today," Willis said. "The cops had no reason to open up on them."

Police used non-lethal bullets, sandbags and concussion grenades to try to break up about 500 protesters, who split into groups in front of different terminals.

Oakland Police officer James Carroll said police set up a "skirmish line" and ordered the protesters to disperse.

"It escalated pretty quick," he said. "Usually you go to these protests and you wait around for three to four hours. Today, all of a sudden, people were being taken into custody." He could not confirm that anyone was hit by the bullets.

Protests also took place at the federal building in San Francisco and at the Concord Naval Weapons Station. Seven people were arrested when they temporarily blocked an exit ramp off Interstate 280.

I was talking with the Marines a couple years ago in the Senate Hart building in Washington, D.C. They had a big display of their "nonlethal" weapons for use on crowds, including microwave blasts, and mines which exploded shooting anti-personnel hard rubber balls everywhere.

I was shocked at these weapons and said that clearly they could cause fatality.

The marine spokesperson brushed me aside by saying, "The Department of Justice does not require that non-lethal weapons be non-lethal."

As you can see from this canister, it explicitly says misuse can be lethal.

The photo and many more can be found here:

Side issue: the lie of "nonlethal" is yet another example of how the corporatist police state has a double standard about everything including honesty. The Nike v. Kasky case, going before the Supreme Court April 23, is another example: Nike wants to be able to claim it has dealt with the horrors of the sweatshops when it hasn't, on the grounds of "free speech". Legal corporate lying. Police are also allowed to lie, by law.

If you witness any abuses by police at demonstrations please notify the National Lawyers Guild at (415) 285-1011 and give them a donation if you can, they're doing a lot of work for us.

Sure, the big bad protesters were "illegally" interfering with supply lines. But they clearly are acting in the best interests of this country. The military supplies being shipped from the Port of Oakland are only serving to provoke more anger and terrorist acts against the US. The true traitors are the supporters of war.

In a true democracy this war would not be happening. Only the confluence of lies from the government and corporate media have kept most citizens from opposing the war.

Since this photo was published by the Associated Press on CNN, should it be trusted?

I think it's doctored, just like those Bin Laden videos. I think this is completely fake. I don't trust the mainstream media to tell me anything.

Listen Kids... Don't be fucking idiots. I saw her face for myself yesterday and the bodies of about 7 other wounded protesters at the Oakland Docks picket line. It is that bad. She was even on the news last night talking about the incident. FAKE? Evidence of Iraqi Nuclear buys were faked. By who? They wont say or look into it.... hmmm. Those canisters of fertilizer that the media is saying may be chemical weapons? we'll see. Of course the results will be published after he samples a brought to the US for analysis. Maybe they can fake that too.
Turn on your thinking caps.. If you are in such doubt, I suggest you go to the Oakland City Council Meeting tonight and see for your self. Do Not Be Fooled. ya basta!

TV News gives a pro-police slant, yet still, the pictures paint police as thugs!!!

We need to demand the names of all those who were assigned to the weapons that shot the wooden projectiles into the heads of the people, the unarmed people, those weapons that by law, are only to be fired at the feet and legs.

What is the District Attorney going to do?

Jerry Brown, what the hell is wrong with you, are you so attached to power that you will not question that maybe someone did something wrong on the side of the police?????? < Duh, yes Jerry Brown it is possible>

Jerry, snap out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the People need to help you, that can be done.
