Did you notice that the injuries inflicted by police were all in the protester-victims' backs? What does THAT tell you?

that cops are dishonorable cowards
by ILLEGAL, IMMORAL WAR!
Got to get right titles in. You all rock! You are so courageous for standing up to the most cruel military and police dictatorship in the world,"THE BUSH REGIME." You are truly remarkable people. 80% of the population here in Canada support you. I can also speak for the 100% of the GREEKS in Greece and Canada. WE are against this FICTITIOUS WAR AND FICTITIOUS president.
I find it interesting how in Europe when protests do become violent not even this amount of brutal violent force is used by the police.
There is a reason why your government is ordering these brutal violent attacks against the people: too many against the war, people are saying no, oppression isn't working, but actually making people stronger, people are revolting PEACEFULLY which is a greater threat than anything they can do. You have them scared shitless because people that need to have control over others through violent means are actually very weak. The protesters are far more stronger and true WARRIORS. LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!!!

I think we should be very careful about how we focus on the humanity of the Arab people. Death-ins of "civilians" are not effective if the corporate media thinks they can show real carnage to build support for the war. Additionally, focusing on just women and children misses the point that almost all (not just the 65% or so of the Arab population who happen to be female or young) are human. Related, many of the soldiers have no power in any of the things going on around them - just as with most Americans. And, it can be argued, that even the most resistant to the US invasion are reacting as we would expect any person would - defending their home, regardless of who governs it. Focusing on humanity requires complex images and arguments. Images to build this argument should include as many ways for Americans to connect with the people of Iraq. Examples of how to do this include photos of ordinary families living in both rural and urban areas, information on the diversity within Iraq, stories about individuals in Iraq, presentations of the art, culture and history of Iraq and other Arab states and honest information about how the current Iraqi government has violated the human rights of these people. For us to make the case that the Iraqi people are human, we must be consistent and specific in our opposition to all violations of the rights of the people living in Iraq and the region. Americans do not need more propaganda in this area - as this dehumanizes the people into props for either for or against this war. I think we should make it a top priority to introduce Americans to Iraq in a complex, complete, diverse and human way.

A report was obtained, prepared by the Al-Kuwait-based [coalition] Psychological Operations Tactical Group for the [coalition] Special Ground Forces Command. The report analyzed the effectiveness of the information and propaganda war. According to the report, analysis of the television broadcasts, intercepted radio communications, interrogations of Iraqi POWs show [Coalition] analysts believe that if this attitude of the Iraqis is not changed within the next 7 days, a "resistance ideology" may take over the Iraqi minds, making the final [coalition] victory even more difficult. In response to this report the US Army Psychological Operations command decided to combine all Iraqi POWs into large groups and to distribute the resulting video footage to the world media. A more active use of the Iraqi opposition was suggested for propaganda work in the occupied villages. The same opposition members will be used to create video footage of the "repented" Iraqi POWs and footage of the local [Iraqi] population "opposing Saddam."

With this in mind - the fact that many Americans want Arabs dead - we face two challenges in trying to stop a war against an Arab nation. First, we need to address the moral dimensions of what it means to want to kill for racist and nationalistic reasons. Second, we need to stop this war within the context of many Americans happy to see Arabs killed. The first challenge requires that we focus on the humanity of the people whose nation we are destroying, and whom we are killing. It also requires that we address the moral dimensions of war, placing this war within this discussion. The second challenge requires that we address the reasons for this war, and the reasons that Arabs are made into our enemies. We need to explain why these reasons, or the goals of this war, are not aligned with the interests and values of the American people.

Radio communications intercepted during the last five days suggest that the coalition is using Israeli airfield for conducting night air strikes against Iraq. Combat aircraft are taking off regularly from the [Israeli] Hatzerim and the Navatim airbases do not return to the same bases but fly toward the border with Jordan while maintaining complete radio silence.

Possibly these are just Israeli Air Force exercises, However, [Russian] radio intercept and radar units observe increased intensity of radio communications coming from the Jordanian air force and air defense communication centers during such overflights, as well as changes in the operating modes of the US Army "Patriot" tracking radars deployed in Jordan. This indicates the Israeli airbases as used as forward airfield or that some of the coalition air force units are based there. Normally the IAF F-15I fighter-bombers and A-4N strike aircraft operate from the Hatzerim airbase and the F-16 fighter-bombers operate from the Nevatim base.

Communism itself also works with capitalists, depending on capitalist greed to sell the weapons the communists will use to destroy them. Buying weapons from capitalists has been part of revolutionary socialist thought since its inception. Look at those among you who advocate violent direct action. Do they argue for siezing the capitalist manufactured arms and using them against the government, or setting up independent collectivist assault rifle manufacturing centers?

Until now, complaints about Clear Channel have focused on its business practices. Critics say it uses its power to squeeze recording companies and artists and contributes to the growing blandness of broadcast music. But now the company appears to be using its clout to help one side in a political dispute that deeply divides the nation.

It tells you they need to aim higher for the back of the head. All protester who block streets, sidewalks, exits, entrances, or any other areas where you try to impose your views on everyone else.....should get the same treatment. Dont impose your wacky views on us. If you act-up illegally, you may get spanked.

COP's only react to idiotic behavior. So if your group has an idiot in it ,who throws a rock or a bottle at the Cops. You better kick his or her ass before the whole crowd gets a beaten.

Dont you get it? You can sue all you want.....all your getting is tax payer money if you win. Cops dont care, its not their money. Even if you get some money, Cops believe you dummies will only spend it on pot and other hippie shit, returing the money to the same capitalist system you say you hate so much.

Dumb logic

"Dont impose your wacky views on us. If you act-up illegally, you may get spanked."

umm, lest we forget, "free market" capitalism has been imposed on the overwhelming majority of people in the world, leaving billions the "opportunity" to starve, to watch their children die for lack of the most basic health care, and generall to live in material conditions resembling those in a sewer. so when you talk about "wacky views" being "imposed," don't forget about the capitalist ideology that's infected nearly the entire globe.

"COP's only react to idiotic behavior. "

this statement is just flat out false and is indicative of what someone who has not once participated in a street demonstration of any significance would say.

"So if your group has an idiot in it ,who throws a rock or a bottle at the Cops. You better kick his or her ass before the whole crowd gets a beaten."

well, it's a question of strategy really, not just simply whether a rock or bottle is thrown. is there larger support for attacking police and/or the physical symbols of oppression? at this point, no. in fact, there's little connection b/t anti-war demonstrators and the communities they purport to care about. but once there is a real connection, and once violence is recognized as being necessary for the destruction of a violence upper class, those that do the job of the police will be the ones getting a beating.
