OPD has Gas Masks On -Update From Oakland Docks Shutdown
Got phone call from observer at Oakland Dock's Blockade

Observer at the Oakland Docks Blockade called and gave me this update:
At leat 200 people blocking each gate x3 gates = at least 600 people blocking the entrances to "not exactly sure which berths, we were at berths 60-63 and the sign for the gate we're at now looks like it says berths 43-65-87, not sure if that's right."
More cops showing up. Lots of them HAVE THEIR GAS MASKS ON!
Cops doing some pushing and shoving. They have their "less lethal" shot guns out.
Those blocking entrances are letting people out but no one in. There is a big line of dockers waiting to get it. They are just hanging out - don't seem to be upset.

Person on the scene called to say that at the next gate -OPD is shooting tear gas at peaceful picketers, lots of truckers and dockworkers are also in the area.
At the gate were the caller is, no order to disperse was given but the cops moved in and are arresting people anyway. People being arrested were picketing against war shipments. Caller was able to slip out of the police cordon on the side.
Caller has to leave the demonstration, but can see that at the gate where tear gas was used the cops have cordoned off the area and trapped close to 300 people.

There are reports of concussion grenades being used by OPD at the docks. Reports of tear gas being shot-off above may be wrong, may have been concussion grenades.
Also someone who was at the demo has reported that many of the dock workers had gone home by 7:30. So the blockade may have worked. Looks like the OPD cops went loco on the picketers after most of the dock workers had already decided to go home.

Corp news says rubber bullets, Concussion grenades, and tear gas was used, reports some bystanders were wounded...

The KTVU report uses some questionable language. I have to ask, How can there be "crossfire" if only one side has weapons? And how can you call these weapons "non-lethal"?
