Dhondup, a 28 year old political activist from Eastern Tibet. His relative, Tenzin Delek Ripoche, a senior Buddhist priest was also given a death sentence that was suspended for two years.
Both were accused of involvement in a bomb explosion in Chengdu, in Eastern Tibet. At least 12 other Tibetans have been arrested or disappeared.
