CFL ALERT: ISRAEL AIMS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WAR ON IRAQ TO STEAL MORE PALESTINIAN LAND.


Israel plans to take advantage of the war on Iraq to steal more land from the Palestinians. By planning to extend their apartheid wall deeper into the West Bank, Israel is clearly looking to undermine Palestinian progress on the "Road Map to Peace" by creating another 200,000 Palestinian refugees. Palestinians have conceded to every single American demand placed upon them. It is time for the U.S. to stop coddling the illegal and immoral actions of Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon. Sharon is hoping that the war on Iraq will divert attention away from their criminal plans. Now is the time to write to your Reps and to the President to let them know that these crimes against the Palestinians will not go unnoticed and that they must intervene and stop Israeli theft of Palestinian land.

TALKING POINTS:

*Demand that the Bush Administration put an end to the hostility of the Israeli regime as the Palestinians concede to every single American demand. As the Palestinians make giant leaps to democratize themselves, the Israelis have not made a single gesture for peace. In fact, since Palestinian reforms began, Israelis have accelerated their strangling human right violations in the Palestinian territories.

*The expansion of Israel's apartheid wall into the West Bank is illegal and in violation of many UN Resolutions that call on Israel to immediately end it's practice of appropriating Palestinian land. It will cause the disenfranchisement of over 200,000 Palestinians who would wind up on the "Israeli" side of this illegally imposed border, without any of the right's of Israeli citizens.

*Human Right's groups have stated that this Israeli land grab will result in a 20% loss of Palestinian land in the heart of the Palestinian territories. This takes away the livelihood and earning potential of many Palestinian families. The UN has already warned that malnutrition and anemia rates among Palestinian children are at their highest.
