These are some pics from just after the police trapped us on either side and started beating people. Obviuosly, during the worst of it I wasn't thinking about getting my camera out, so these aren't the height of what happened (I'm not a photographer, so I wasn't thinking like one at the time).

I was there. The battle of 7th and mission. Fuck the police and their laws. I saw them keep an old women with force behind the lines. She was caught in the middle crying her eyes out. If this is democracy I want Something Better!

i respectfully disagree with ReVolt when he says "fuck their laws." in fact, their laws would have come in handy that day. ya know, the ones where they actually have to give us a warning to disperse. or the ones that say they can't beat us without provocation. or even the ones that say they have to keep track of our personal property if they're arresting us (bikes can't just be labeled as "abandoned property"). the problem was that the real anarchists that day were the police.
by class action
It is their laws that they broke that day, and everyone arrested has a right to be compensated for their grievences. Please show up at the New College of California this Saturday, Mar. 29, noon to 3 pm and meet with legal representatives who are collecting information and footage regarding this and many other illegal police actions that week. Several cases are being prepared against the SFPD so please go this weekend and share if you were involved.
