watch out for searches

bag searches & detentions in SF 3/24
I was detained with several others while walking down the street this morning in SF, and our bags were searched. I have heard reports that this is happening to a lot of people. So be aware that your bag or your person could be searched even if you are not taking part in an action. Don't carry anything you don't want to share, including names and phone numbers. Remember to state that you do not consent to any search, and report incidents to legal support (415) 285-1011

Any word yet on those two arrested on Saturday at Yerba Buena who had molotov cocktails in their backpack? I haven't seen a followup story yet, thanks.

either channel 2 or channel 4 had pictures of two middle or upper-middle class people in their 30s being stuffed into a police van by the Metreon, and they were saying "we're just trying to go to a movie" and the news narrated that they had been found with incendiary material. But then the next day, they issued a correction that the two in fact had been heading to a movie, but that a report had been put out for a man and a woman who were white were wanted or suspected of molotov cocktail possession, and they matched the description so they were arrested. I don't know if they've caught anyone else for having alcohol plus bottles but these two were let loose.

They weren't the only people heading to the movies taht were arrested either. There were some 13 year olds arrested for that too.
