Kudos to Yoga for Peace for a beautiful action. Their dignity, resolve, and commitment was impressive. I don't fully understand yoga, but it was clear to me that this group is pointing toward an important dimension of the struggle for peace and justice, the spiritual one. Granted, this was not as militant and macho as many actions, it's easy to poke fun at cultural traditions one does not understand, and it's not clear how this yoga will stop the war. But it's not clear that any particular tactic will stop the war; many approaches are needed. And in addition to political analysis and a militant struggle, to get a just society we need to transform our selves and our institutions into something more humane, more mindful of our place in the world. Thanks to YfP!
