Green Light Crossers Arrested During Pied Piper Sidewalk Stroll (M22)
As the main march was winding down an incredible Brass Band left the Civic Center with a few fans in tow. By the time the small group had reached Market Street hundreds of cops were following on either side. It was a surreal scene – hundreds of Cops marching to, what sounded to me like, a slow, New Orleans style funeral durge, as they surrounded twenty or so music fans - a funeral for the constitution?
The surreal scene and the great music got some attention and the Brass Band, with hundreds following, had turned into some serious Pied Pipers.
The band walked (on the sidewalk) down Market Street - picking up more and more people as they went - then turned and walked (on the sidewalk) down 7th street. After a few blocks the band disappeared, spooked by the cops, or maybe just stopped at a bar or restaurant for a well deserved break.
Many of those who had been following the music kept walking (on the sidewalk) for a block or so, but were stopped by the SFPD, for no apparent reason, at 7th and Howard Streets. Then when a few people crossed the street toward the blocked group (on a green light) the cops decided to make a few more false arrests. People got slammed to the ground pretty hard - let that be a lesson to all you green light crossers!

SFPD platoon marches away - down alley off 7th Street. I Guess someone finally realized that the massive numbers of SFPD (tailing Brass Band and fans - walking on the sidewalk) was an embarassing overkill.
This is a friend of mine, he has Felony charges now. For assault on a police officer. He is in jail untill tueday and is currently in a holding cell wearing a orange jump suit.
This guy is harmless

Hello I was the one arrested for crossing a green light on 7th and howard (The one who had the Fuck Bush skateboard) Shown above.. Any Witnesses would be cool also, they are trying to get me for battery on a police officer and resisting arrest/obstruction, any help would be great.
As I remember the police waved us to come over....

I have some pictures from halfway up the block, but some pictures from much closer were posted so I didn't put them up here.
Please send the pics you have anyways grodylocks [at] yahoo.com
omg.... it's panda!
You should have crossed on Red like everyone else. Damn criminals!
We need some lone nuts to go roofside and remove the cops from power during the next peace protest altercation, and show all the police they are powerless Nazi's!!!
So....Calling all nuts....
to quote Ice T: "I'm gonna bust some shots off, gonna dust some cops off!!"
Police used to help people, now they are security for the highest bidder.
I stopped going to rave's when I found out all of the armed security were off duty policemen, not caring about all the drug use, or underage kids getting gropede while on E and other things (mostly because the police found it fun to exploit teens on drugs)
and again they were paid not to care!
Hopefully the CHP will lose more than 500 officers, who needs them!!!
Also next time there is a peace protest, use some diversions across town to get rid of the police!
Sorry for the rant, all these pictures of unarmed, non-violent people getting arrested and beaten makes me sick!
