FBI Opens Emergency Command Post In Bay Area

by Federal Crackdown on Dissent
(KCBS) - The FBI has opened an emergency command post in the Bay Area to deal with any possible terrorist activity while the war in Iraq is underway. KCBS Reporter Ron Naso says the command post is at an undisclosed location.

Officials say the thirty member task force at the emergency command center is made up of FBI agents and analysts who are armed with phones, computers, and a bank of television sets that monitor what is going on in the Bay Area.

Expect more COINTELPRO attacks and disinformation on SF Indy.

Dividing antiwar opinion and creating infighting on protest tactics will be the focus of the psyops posing as protestors and peacenicks.

What this means for SF protests is simple. Typical FBI operations focus on creating dissent in the movements. Expect psyops posing as uber-peaceniks to criticize any real civil disobedience. Why is the FBI in SF? Because the protests are VERY effective. Frameups, such as the FBI bombing of Judi Bari, are also possible: support fellow activists who are falsely accused.

Does this mean that they are taking charge of protest control?

Telltale signs on how to spot an infiltrator -

1. The person is gathering information on the movement and/or organizers.

2. The person trying to disrupt the movement.

It's a Bad Bad Bad idea to start pointing fingers and calling people infiltrators. It can tear groups apart.

We already know that we're being listened to. Expect the cops/FBI to know whatever you discuss in a public forum (and of course, on the phone, over email, and on this website).

Protect your actions by giving information to members on a strict need to know basis. My affinity group found it useful to divide the group up into teams for the day after war action. No one person knew everything that would happen at the action. We all had a vague idea of what other teams might be doing, and we knew what our own job and our team members jobs were during the action. Even without someone organizing on a macro level, the action went over well.

Be suspicious of people who want to take the group in a direction that others a not comfortable with, and lay that discomfort on the table. DO NOT single that person out as an possible infiltrator unless you have clear evidence. Allow only established and trusted members of the group to handle senstive information (like group phone lists) and to coordinate key aspects of the action (choosing the place or time, for example).

I don't want to dissuade anyone from protesting. Just be mindful not to upset citizens who will hopefully wake up later, hopefully. This is in reference to
Workplace sabotage. Yes the Corporate Media and the protest infiltrators are quite coordinated. It will be great when people decide they won't pay anymore taxes.

you know, I think in the last few days travelling back and forth across the states I've come full circle on the whole conintel pro thing. Believe what you will and disregard everything i now say, but frankly I don't think they are up to the job. given the horrendous suspension of their duty to the american people many feds are so demoralised since 911, the actual folks who'd be any good at the job are reluctant, slow and off key.

The rest of the mob squad are cretins, incompetent boobs who should be guarding silos in nebraska - only theres a war on so theres the ever present "you'll do" atitude.

when you think about the sad situation we find ourselves at today, a coup d'etat has seized power so who's really in charge, who's leading who? The advisors who push us ever steady towards an unobtainable goal, by any reasonable estimates are the same idiots who've put us in a potentially lethal situation that threatens the whole world.

The unelected shadow powers that be. Do they really know a goddamn thing about what they're doing? I like my conspiracies organized and well thought out. There's nothing more insulting that being conned by a moron.

forget cointel pro, protest, speak out and live your life as much as you can in these times when the lunatics really do appear to have taken over the asylum.

Do you think you could do better?

You don't think that its a classic double think be perpetrated? Make them think they have spies in the bunch then they rip apart from within through paranoia and suspicion?
by Infiltrating The Man
You mean the FBI did not have a SF office already, and the emergency office is just temporary? anyone know where it is? Maybe Oakland PD headquarters?

No paranoid, just attentive.
by Counter Intelligence Unit
We do have spies in our bunch. What the FBI doesn't realize is that one of their spies has defected to our side. Ah, but which one? Enquiring minds want to know.
