"Friday's discovery of Molotov-cocktail making materials likely belonging to anti-war protesters has prompted a joint investigation by local and federal authorities"
Hallinan protects the kids who come in to mess with San Franciscans, but those gas bombs pushed it out of his jurisdiction. BATF, fingerprinting, other forensics AND investigations to nail these jerks. Wahoo, you made the bigtime!

You guys are the bomb! Keep up the pressure. Los Angeles is watching you for inspiration---you guys are our brave spiritual leaders in this battle against corporate warmongers!
confession: I sent a scathing email to Halliburton and Bechtel today. If anyone knows about the demos at Bechtel please email me with the low down. Thanks.

Lots and Lots of Love to all those who are standing up and letting their voices be heard. The energy, spirit, strength and determination is an inspiration to any one fighting the oppressors of humanity. Keep up the good fight. Peace will set us free.
All the love in the world to everyone who has gone out and in one or another, let their feelings known to "The evil empire" about Operation: Liberate Iraq, a.k.a Peace by Slaughter. The spirit and intelligence in the protests (espically San Francisco) has inspired the world's resolve for frredom. THE PEOPLE UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED.
Cyclists legally waiting at red light at Market & Grove were boxed in by SFPD. Many were shoved and then handcuffed. We were told that we were being detained for not having headlights on our bikes. Then the charge changed to obstructing traffic. We were told that police helicopter had caught it on video. This was, of course, laughable. Eventually the group was cited for lack of headlights and released. One cyclist, who actually had a headlight, was threatened with impeding a police investigation (presumably police were investigating bicycles without headlights).
I was one of the arrsted at fulton and frankling.Since I am a juvenile i was released (i think) before the others. An older man was violently beat by the cops near the opera house at the very beginning at the stand off for trying to get throught the chain of police. There were four copsthat were closest to the beating. I did not see the actual beating only the man on the gorund and a bunch of fellow protesters around him. their badges: 4112, 927, 1903, 389. All we want is justice. Everyone at the intersection was held for almos an hour with out any given reason, totally blocked by cops. We were then told that we were being arrested for walking in the street and obstructing the side walk or somehting like that. No initial warning was given! We were simply surrounde from all sides by police and buildings and then arrested. This to me seemed balatantly illegal. I saw absolutely no violence on ANY of the protesters side and the only incident i saw was the one mentioned above. We need to come with more strength tomorrow and bring only peace and love! Let's unfuck the world!
Dear Bikeist,
If you were really waiting for the light when you were detained and cited for no headlamp, then that is BULLSHIT!!!
First of all, the law only requires you to have a headlamp if the bicycle is in motion (CVC 21201D). If you're standing still, you don't need a light.
Second of all, if you're with a big group and some have lights, why on earth would you need one too? You're all plenty visible.
Third of all, THIS IS A STATE OF EMERGENCY AN OIL WAR IS BLOWING APART INNOCENT CHILDREN AND WE'RE PAYING FOR IT TO SUPPORT KILLER CAR CULTURE INSTEAD OF A SUSTAINABLE EGALITARIAN HEALTHY WORLD!
Thanks just had to say that.
