Light up the night!

These are dark times.

Our government is about to kill thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians. Our country is in the hands of an administration that is a front for big oil businesses. For the sake of their profits, they are prepared to go any length - even though it will mean the deaths of thousands of Iraqi (and American) men, women and children, even though it will cause widespread anger and resentment toward America and Americans.

But in this dark night of terrorism and fundamentalism, there is hope. Around the world, millions of people are standing up to be counted for peace, for justice and for harmony among human beings. Against the insanity of greed and murder, we must stand firm.

The day the war starts, we will join the peace march which will start at 5pm, Powell & Market. We will be bringing torches to light up the night. We will have a limited number, so please bring your own torches and candles.
