Police Arrest Protesters For Having Political Signs On A Public Sidewalk

Note the command to disperse happened in many cases AFTER the police sorrounded the protesters. Also note that the illegal activity was having political signs on a public sidewalk in San Francisco; people had not even stopped so the charge was not that people were blocking the sidewalk, jut that those opposed to the Brown/Bush/Newsom agenda have no right to the use of public space.

Supposedly the car in front of the store belonged to a customer who was arrested for buying a sandwitch at the wrong time. The arrest was a street sweep and between 10-20% of those arrested were not even from the protest.

Note they let the corporate "media" behind police lines but arrested a reporter from SF Indymedia as well as legal observers for "illegal assembly"
