If the war starts, JOIN THE RALLY/PROTEST THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY!

by STOP THE WAR!
Apparently many are trying to organize protest rallies around the world to happen the next day after the war is declared, in fact, preferably the next business day. Here's the local San Francisco plan.
Tell all your colleagues and get organized: join a spontaneous protest rally which will take place the day after war starts at 7 am at Market & Main at the Embarcadero (Embarcadero BART) in San Francisco.

Hey fellow bikers,

Some bikers, critical-mass and BIKES NOT BOMBS folks will be bicyling within Rush Hour traffic during these direct actions. Imagine the gridlock!

If you plan to bring a bicycle to this spontaneous protest, and take BART, plan ahead. See if you can stow a bike at a friends house in the City.

Bart doesn't allow bikes on Bart from 6:30am - 8:30am. During these protests, you can bet that the Bart cops will be extra strict. (They banned them for the Feb 15th march on Sunday).

Do you mean if the war starts on Friday, we don't meet until Monday - which is the "next business day". Please be clearer in your communication if you fancy yourself as an organier.
by just wondering
Does that mean there will be two CM rides that day, one in the East Bay and one in SF?

Wouldn't that cause the cops to have to split their forces?

Riding bikes in rush-hour traffic to cause gridlock. Is this somehow supposed to endear people to your cause?

This place is always good for a laugh.

You can't stop me.

Tax dollars are used to “slaughtering innocent civilians” but they are also used to fund Education, Build Roads, Feed the Homeless, Pay for Medicare & Medicaid, Fund Public Defenders, Fund Aids and other Medical Research Programs, Protect the Environment, Pay the Salaries of Anti-War Government Officials, and many other programs.

You are powerless to do anything. When the overthrow of Saddam continues despite all your best efforts, you'll have a better understanding. Just watch. You'll see.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
