Byrd's Attack on Bush & Immgrant Rights
Sure, Senator Byrd attacks President Bush, but he remains myopic by blaming i.e. immigrants for the problems of the Nation-hood by saying, among many other things, that the present administratin "has been reluctant to better protect our long and porous borders." Though some of Byrd's words are a welcomed opposition to Bush's mad drive for war, his message is a show of aggression to immigrant rights. Like another cowboy of the wild west his are the words of divide an conquer aiming at building the nation with the politics of scapegoating. Perhaps he fails to look at the politico-historical parallels between the Middle East, Mexico and Latin America as a whole? Goodneighbor?
