Protest at State of the Union

by ME (peanuthead0241 [at] yahoo.com)
Apparently this is the first time that a president's state of the union adress faced significant protest.
Sponsored by the shirts off coalition around 2-3 thousand people gathered outside the capitol for a night of music, speaches, and a march in order to show our opposition of Bush's views on just about everything. As he spoke of environmental protection and world peace it struck me that his tongue really was forked and his face really did have two sides. It was rather unnerving to see the support that the other members of our government showed for his wish-wash, but we really didn't watch all too much of old George W. and instead were entertained by musicians from all sorts of genres. The diversity and unity that was displayed by all attending was uplifting even when those who went off to march faced significant resistance from the police. It was a good time and I hope to attend many more like, and maybe we just might put an end to this horrible thing that has been set in motion.
PEACE
